This website is hosted by an external hosting provider:

All personal data collected on this website is processed on the servers of the hosting provider.

A data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR has been concluded with the hosting provider.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure, stable and efficient provision of our online services.

If processing takes place in a third country, this will only occur in compliance with Articles 44 et seq. GDPR.

§ 4 Access Data (Server Log Files)

When accessing our website, the following data is automatically collected:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Date and time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is used exclusively for technical provision and to ensure stability and security.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The server log files are stored for security reasons for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted, unless longer retention is required for evidential purposes.

The legal basis is Section 25(2) TDDDG as well as Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

No analytics, tracking or marketing cookies are used.

Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other technically necessary cookies are deleted after the respective storage period has expired.

You can configure your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies or to disable cookies. If cookies are completely disabled, functionality may be limited.

§ 6 YouTube (integration only with consent)

Videos from the service YouTube are embedded on our website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The parent company is Google LLC, USA.

The videos are blocked by default. A connection to YouTube is only established once you have given your explicit consent via our cookie banner or directly on the video.

After you have given your consent, YouTube may process personal data, in particular your IP address, and may set cookies. If you are logged into your YouTube or Google account, the visit may be associated with your user account.

We do not use YouTube’s enhanced privacy mode.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG.

A transfer of data to the USA cannot be excluded. Where applicable, the transfer takes place on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or appropriate safeguards pursuant to Articles 44 et seq. GDPR.

§ 7 Social Media Buttons (Shariff solution)

Social media buttons from various social networks are integrated on this website.

For privacy-friendly integration, we use the so-called Shariff solution. As a result, no connection to social network servers is established when you merely visit our website.

A connection to the respective network is only established once you actively click on a button.

No data is transmitted before you click.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing a privacy-friendly option for voluntary sharing of our content.

After clicking the button, the processing of personal data takes place under the sole responsibility of the respective provider.

If you are logged into the respective network, the visit may be associated with your user account.

Integrated networks

A transfer of data to third countries (in particular the USA) cannot be excluded.

§ 8 Local Google Fonts

This website uses fonts from Google Fonts that are hosted locally on the server.

No connection to Google servers is established when visiting the website.
No personal data is transmitted to Google.
The integration serves solely to ensure a consistent and visually appealing presentation of the website.

§ 9 Contact

If you contact me by email, your details will be stored for the purpose of processing your enquiry.

The legal basis is:

  • Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures), or
  • Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing incoming enquiries)

Your data will be deleted once processing has been completed and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion. As a rule, deletion takes place no later than 6 months after completion of processing.

§ 10 Comment Function

If you use the comment function, the following data will be stored:

  • Name provided
  • Email address (not publicly visible)
  • IP address
  • Date and time of creation

Comments are reviewed before publication and manually approved. Once approved, they are publicly visible.

The IP address is stored for security reasons in order to prevent abusive or unlawful content.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Comments remain on the website until they are deleted or legal reasons require their removal.

§ 11 SSL or TLS Encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption.
You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser’s address bar.

§ 12 Storage Period

Personal data is only stored for as long as necessary to fulfil the respective purpose.

In particular, the following are decisive:

  • Technical necessity (e.g. log files: 7 days)
  • Processing time for enquiries (generally a maximum of 6 months)
  • Duration of published comments
  • Statutory retention obligations (e.g. tax or commercial law retention periods)

Once the purpose ceases to apply or statutory retention periods expire, the data will be deleted.
